Pan Am and the 747 are both important parts of the contemporary air travel industry. Because of this, Pan Am Jumbos have been well represented in 1:400 scale since the early days of the hobby. By digging into the history behind five Pan Am 747-100 1:400 models, we can uncover a lot of what has happened in the hobby during the 1999-2025 period.
